Right Wing Spars Assembly

Assembly of the right wing spars is completed for the most part.

We finished assembly the spars for the right wing. The front spar came fully assembled by sling aircraft, and the Rear spar is mostly complete.

Front Spar

The front spar came fully assembled by Sling. The holes and the top and the bottom were all countersunk, which saves a lot of time and repetition. front-1 Root bolted to the wing jig. front-2 Tip clecoed to the wing jig. front-3 Top and bottom of the spar riveted.

Rear Spar

The rear spar assembly was pretty straightforward, some holes required cleaning up a bit. Assembly is complete for the most part with the exception to the spar to skin channel, which will be installed after installing the ribs, since before that it would be difficult to rivet the ribs. rear-1 Root riveted with a doubler and a tripler. rear-2 Root riveted with a doubler and a tripler. rear-3 Root bolted and clecoed to the wing jig. rear-4 Root bolted and clecoed to the wing jig. rear-5 Tip clecoed to the wing jig, and spar extension clecoed. rear-6 Spar extension riveted, some holes are not riveted for the spar to skin channel. rear-7 Spar extension riveted, some holes are not riveted for the spar to skin channel. rear-8 Aileron pushrod opening doubler riveted, some holes are not riveted for the spar to skin channel. rear-9 Aileron pushrod opening doubler riveted, some holes are not riveted for the spar to skin channel.
